Why spreadsheet links go dead
Taobao, Weidian, and 1688 listings change constantly. Sellers delete products, rotate stock, rename shops, or move SKUs to a new page. Spreadsheet rows are discovery shortcuts — not a permanent warehouse inventory. Expect some 404s, blank loads, or “item unavailable” messages as normal.
- A dead row does not mean the whole spreadsheet is broken.
- Popular products die faster because stock and sellers turn over.
- Screenshots and Discord / Reddit paste dumps go stale even quicker than curated category pages.
Dead listing vs bad URL
Not every failed paste means the product is gone. Official guidance often points to short links, app share text, shop homepages, and incomplete URLs as common false alarms. Separate “really delisted” from “link format problem” before you give up.

Confirm it is really dead
Spend two minutes on verification so you do not abandon a product that only had a messy link.

Find a replacement in the same category
Matching brand + silhouette on a live category page is usually faster than hunting the exact old SKU. Open Shoes, Hoodies, Bags, or another lane and pick a product with current photos and a working product link.
- Same category + similar look beats “must be the identical old row.”
- Prefer products that still show clear photos and a pasteable product URL.
- Re-check sizing on the new listing — replacement charts are not identical to the dead one.
Search by seller or keywords
If you still want the same shop vibe, search the seller name or product keywords on the marketplace or in your Sugargoo account. Factories and sellers often relist similar goods under a new URL after the old page dies.
- Seller name + model keywords can surface the successor listing.
- New pages may change price, size chart, or batch quality — treat them as new products.
- If nothing close appears, move on rather than waiting weeks for a ghost SKU.
When a manual / DIY order can help
Official docs describe a manual order path for links that cannot be auto-parsed — short URLs, odd platforms, or pages that need buyer-team review. That path needs product name, shop, price, quantity, domestic shipping, notes, and images when possible. It does not revive a permanently deleted listing with no stock.
- Useful when the item still exists but the automatic link paste fails.
- Not a magic restore button for fully delisted goods.
- Provide clear size / color notes so the purchased variant matches what you meant.
Do not paste partial or outdated URLs
Always copy the full current product link from the live page. Shortened, cached, screenshot-only, or chat-wrapped references cause failed orders and wrong variants.

- Warehouse storage clocks keep running while you hunt replacements.
- Ship ready items if the missing product will take too long — or extend storage deliberately.
- Do not paste a broken URL “just to try” right before parcel checkout day.
